Exporting your pets to South Africa
Catwoman in the UK says
An export permit is required for pets being exported from the UK to South Africa. At the time of publication the British authorities required that an export certificate be obtained from Defra and validated by a government-authorised vet.
An IATA-approved air kennel is required for transporting domestic animals.
An agent can apply for all the documentation for you as well as get the kennel but you are probably going to have to make at least two trips to the vet.
To obtain your own import permit (allow 4-6 weeks).
